Communities

Music activities should be part of day-to-day life for everyone, but in our disconnected, post pandemic world, loneliness and mental health issues are becoming urgent issues. StAMP community projects provide sociable music activities that help people to live well and thrive.

Memory Makers Fife

Memory Makers is a regular music group for people living with dementia and their carers. Sessions take place at the Laidlaw Music Centre and centre around carefully chosen songs from across the decades, themed activities, and opportunities to share memories.

Music is a powerful way for people living with dementia to connect, express themselves, and interact with others and our sessions create a supportive, uplifting space where participants can engage in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.

Building connections over a cup of tea is an integral part of the sessions. Moments of conversation and companionship offer support not only for participants but also for the people who care for them.

Email [email protected] for more information or to attend one of our sessions.

We meet on Tuesday afternoons, 2.30-4pm.

Current dates: 12, 19, 26 May and 2 June 2026.

Connecting Voices

Connecting Voices brings people together through the joy and shared energy of group singing. Our relaxed, inclusive sessions are open to everyone — whether you’ve never sung before or haven’t sung in years. They’re designed for anyone who wants to invest in their well-being while connecting with others in their local community.

We explore familiar songs, childhood favourites, rounds, and pieces from around the world, all taught by ear using call‑and‑response techniques. This approach keeps the sessions accessible, playful, and welcoming, allowing participants to enjoy singing without pressure or prior experience.

We have partnered with a range of libraries and arts venues across Fife to deliver Connecting Voices in accessible community spaces. The project began in November 2025.
